Education and Appointments:

Zhuo Tang was born in 1975 in Yuechi, Sichuan province, China. He graduated from Sichuan University in applied chemistry in 1997.In 2005, he received his doctoral degree in Chengdu Institute of organic chemistry, Chinese academy of sciences. Since the summer of 2009, Dr. Tang established his lab in Chengdu Institute of Biology, Chinese academy of sciences. As an active scientist, Dr. Tang has been presiding many scientific projects funded by National Natural Science Foundation and Technology Major Project. Dr. Tang has published more than 100 SCI peer-reviewed papers in international journals as the first author and corresponding author, including 20 papers with an impact factor of 10 or more. Besides he holds more than 20 authorized patents and is focusing on the conversion of some of these patents to practical products.

Chemical Biology of Nucleic Acids:

 1. In vitro screening and in vivo evolution of functional nucleic acids;

 2. Genetic testing technology;

 3. Design and synthesis of protein degradation drugs.
