Research Grouping: Medicinal Chemistry, Organic Synthesis, Chemical Biology
Natural products with biological activities are major origin of pharmaceuticals and also efficient probes to investigate biological problems. We concentrated on the discovery of active natural products, their mechanisms, chemical synthesis or biotransformation, intending to find leading compounds and to obtain probes for further investigation on physiological or pathological problems. In moment our work is oriented predominantly to natural compounds that regulate estrogen synthesis and metabolites, mimic proteins such as interferons, and reverse drug resistance of bacteria.
