Education and Appointments: Tan Zhouliang, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor. He is currently engaged in the research and application of environmental biotechnology, having led and completed more than 30 national key projects and research grants. He has received six provincial and ministerial science and technology awards, including the First Prize of the Sichuan Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award. He has published more than 100 papers and filed/obtained 31 patents. He has successfully developed over 20 bacterial and microalgal strain resources, as well as more than a dozen bioproducts, real-time sensors for microbial activity monitoring, and integrated environmental protection devices. These achievements have led to the establishment of complete technology packages for low-carbon intelligent wastewater treatment and microalgae-based wastewater purification and carbon sequestration, which have been applied in more than 40 engineering projects, including those of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) and BYD, delivering significant outcomes in pollution reduction, carbon abatement, and resource recovery in wastewater treatment.
