Education and Appointments: Dr. Tan Zhouliang is a researcher at the Chengdu Institute of Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Currently, he is mainly engaged in research and application of water pollution control and environmental biotechnology. He has presided over 22 projects including the Ministry of Science and Technology International Cooperation Project, the National Natural Science Foundation of China,etc., and participated 5 projects including the 863 Project, the Ministry of Science and Technology Support Project and the National Natural Science Foundation, etc. He has published more than 60 papers and been granted 17 patents. Successfully developed a series of biological agents such as refractory organic microbial agents, ammonia oxidizing bacteria, denitrifying bacteria, microbial activation promoters, etc., and developed common technologies such as multi-scale bio-enhancement technology, short-cut nitrification and denitrification rapid start-up and stable operation technology. He has rich experience in scientific research and engineering practice. Research results have been successfully applied more than 30 projects such as mine wastewater treatment, laboratory wastewater, solar cell production wastewater, fluorine-containing wastewater, domestic sewage upgrading, cleaning agent and polyethylene, rural field sewage, livestock wastewater and so on in different areas. The research results were selected in the "Sichuan Province Water Pollution Prevention Technical Guidance Catalogue", won the first prize of the Sichuan Science and Technology Progress Award in 2007 (ranked sixth), the first prize of the 2016 Sichuan Environmental Protection Technology Progress Award (ranked first), 2017 The second prize of the Chengdu Eco-Environmental Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (ranked first) and the second prize of the 2017 Sichuan Science and Technology Progress Award (ranked first).
