Education and Appointments: Wei Jiao was born in Baotou city of Inner Mongolia, China. He received his BS degree in chemistry at the Inner Mongolia University in 2002. Then he got his MS and PhD degree in Medicinal Chemistry at the Chengdu Institute of Biology (CIB), Chinese Academy of Science (CAS) in 2008. Now he was an associate professor of the Natural Products Center at CIB, CAS. He is mainly engaged in the synthesis and modification of active natural products, the development and validation of their new biological functions, analysis and identification,quality criteria and control, and process research.
