Education and Appointments: Dr. Zhu Dan completed his MSc and PhD degrees in alpine and wetland ecology from the Chengdu Institute of Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2010 with the studying topic on methane and carbon dioxide emission from alpine lakes on the Tibetan Plateau. In 2012 and 2014 he worked as visiting scholar in Canada (University of Quebec at Montreal and Memorial University of Newfoundland, respectively) to study the greenhouse gases emission from wetlands. In 2013 and 2015 he worked as Ecosystem Analyst in International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development, Nepal. In last few years his research interests focus on ecosystem management and natural resource utilization of the Himalayan region. There are more than 30 peer-reviewed articles published by him in international journals. Research Interest Wetland ecology, natural resource utilization
