Recently, the project named “The Formation and Evolution Diversity of Amphibians and Reptiles Under Main Distribution Model” hold a Kick-off meeting. Related personnel from technology department and research group took part in the meeting.

The project leader Jiang Jianping introduced the overall objective, sub-topics, the main assessment indicators, research programs and the annual plan about the project. There were 4 sub-topics in the project: “The Diversity and Evolution of Amphibians in the Sichuan Basin and Surrounding Mountains”, “The Formation and Evolution Diversity of Amphibians in Mountains”, “The Relationship between Species Differentiation of Amphibians in Alpine and Uplift of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau”, “The Classification Determined of Lizards in China and the System Classification, Species Formation and Evolution of E. multiocellate”. Each person in charge of the sub-topics described the project in detail. Finally, the participants reached a consensus on how to carry out the project in the meeting.
