Recently, Dr. Hing Hiang Lian from National University of Malaysia visited CIB. Dr. Hing did an academic report titled “Focused Ion Beam Technology on Biomedical Samples” for our students. 

Prof. Zhao Hai and Prof. Liu Guangye of Center for Applied and Environmental Microbiology participated in this report.

In the report, Dr. Hing showed how to use BioNanotechnology/Focused Ion Beam (FIB) technology on bacteria and fungus/yeasts research in detail.

Afterwards, researchers and students in this report discuss with Dr. Hing actively.

Dr. Hing is General Secretary of Committee of Asia Pacific Societies for Microscope (CAPSM), and once served as temporary advisor for Diagnostic Electron Microscope for Western Pacific and other core position.
