Invention Patent “The Heterotrophic Nitrification Aerobic Granular Sludge’s Cultivation Method and Application” Authorized by SIPO

Update time: 03/18/2010   Author: MU Liping
The aerobic granular sludge was constructed mainly by two kinds of microorganisms which were Stenotrophomonas maltophilia strain DN1.1 and Pseudomonas putida sp.DN1.2 respectively.
This patent provided a new technology that using only activated Charcoal Granules to prefix functional strains, without inoculating active sludge as usual, the heterotrophic nitrification aerobic granular sludge (HNAGS) could be cultured.

And the HNAGS had the ability to remove NH4+-N、NO3--N and NO2--N from water, and meantime could remove CODcr.

Therefore, the HNAGS was suitable for the treatment of wastewater containing high percentage of N element, whatever the water was organic or inorganic.

Besides, there was no accumulation of NO3--N and NO2--N during the whole processing. The wastewater treatment process became very simple, and the efforts could stay stable by using the HNAGS.
