Update time: 03/18/2010   Author: YAN Zhiying
Recently, The State Intellectual Property Office authorized the patent “The method of using the Lactobacillus Brevis to produce PM-1 from root of Paeonia lactiflora” invented by the researchers from the Center for Natural Products of the Chengdu Institute of Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

This invention belongs to the biochemical engineering technology field. Firstly, inoculate the Lactobacillus Brevis AS 1.12 to the tomato juice medium; after anaerobic culture for 12 to 24 hours, centrifuge to collect bacterial cells, wash with saline water, and centrifuge again; disperse the cells in to 0.05M phosphate buffer solution, add substrate paeoniflorin and so on; after conversion for 2 to 24 hours, extraction with ethyl acetate, put the concentrated extract liquor to the dry conversion material extract, separate by the silica gel column chromatography, we can obtain the PM-1 from root of Paeonia lactiflora

This invention is simple, easy to control, short cycle, low cost, high efficiency, environmentally friendly and so on; and it can solve the problems of raw materials on manufacturing the drugs of analgesic antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, anti-stress ulcer, expansion of coronary vessels, antagonizing acute myocardial ischemia, as well as inhibiting platelet aggregation.
