Prof. Sakagami Youji in CIB

Recently, Prof. Sakagami Youji, Nagoya University, Japan, was invited to visit CIB for academic exchanges. Prof. Sakagami Youji is a well-known scholar in international biochemistry research areas and more than 100 scientists and graduate students attended this memorial lecture with the topic “Siganl Compounds of Plants and Microorganisms”. In the lecture, Prof. Sakagami Youji introduced his group’progress achieved in research of quorum sensing pheromone of plant peptide hormones and Bacillus subtilis and Phytophthora mating hormone. The lecture caused a great interest in the participants and was presided by professor Tan Hong, director of Center for Applied and Environmental Microbiology. Afterwards, all of the scientists hold a heated discussion.
