Professor Zhihong Xu is curently the Director of Environmental Futures Centre and Professor with the School of Biomolecular and Physical Sciences at Griffith University, Nathan, Brisbane, Australia. Professor Xu has published more than 185 refereed journal and conference papers and 2 books, with 83 refereed papers published in the past five years. Professor Xu has secured more than $18 million of external funding support, with most coming from national competitive grants. Professor Xu is currently a member of the Australian Research Council College of Experts and is involved in editorial positions for the Journal of Soils and Sediments (Editor-in-Chief - Soils), Environmental Science & Pollution Research (Editor), and Plant and Soil and Pedosphere (member of Editorial Boards). He regularly reviews manuscripts for 42 refereed international journals in the areas on environmental science, forestry and soil science. Professor Xu also has held adjunct professor appointments at Chengdu Institute of Biology and other relevant institutes of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and leading universities in China.
